Your personal energy is with you all the time. It’s a part of you that can’t be seen, but that doesn’t mean it’s not there. It’s your emotions and your thoughts. Your memories and beliefs. It’s your sense of vitality that lets you know you’re part of the world around you. It plays an essential role in your daily life and how that life turns out. If you choose to work with this power rather than against it, you can take your life in a direction that could lead to great joy and happiness. How do you do this? If you align your energy and goals, you can achieve some wonderfully positive results.

What Is Energy?

We’ve all heard people talk about energy at one time or another. This personal energy is something we all possess. Some people have good energy, others not so good. You know that feeling you get when you meet someone for the first time, and you get a sense of whether you like them or not? That’s the energy I’m referring to.

Sometimes your energy is positive, and sometimes it can become negative depending on your experiences or the challenges you’ve been presented with. One thing I’ve learnt is that if you align your energy and goals, the outcome can be positive even in difficult circumstances.

Types Of Energy

We’re not always aware of this energy but it’s always present and giving us information. We all possess it and even though some people think it just exists within us, we can control it. We can change it and we can use it to our advantage. To improve our lives and our wellbeing. If you do the work to learn to understand it and how it feels within your body, it can offer you a lot of insight.

We as human beings have four main energy types. Physical energy, Emotional energy, Mental energy and Spiritual energy and they all need to be working together if you’re to get the most out of life. When you’re able to assess each energy type and take action to adjust them when they need it, you’ll gain a valuable life skill.

What Is Alignment?

Aligning your energy and goals with your values can be extremely effective in moving you forward in life. But what does it mean to be in energetic alignment?

When you’re in a state of energetic alignment, you’re connected to all four energy types in a positive vibration. You are without resistance so all that you desire flows effortlessly to you. This is not an easy state to achieve and requires a lot of practice.

If you’re ready to learn how to do this, you need to start focusing your thoughts on positive outcomes. You’ve been programmed by society to believe that you need tangible proof for something to be real. But with this process the opposite is true.

How to Shift Your Mindset

You must shift your mindset to believe that what you desire or are trying to achieve is real, possible and has already happened.  When you imagine the possibilities you want to achieve you give them the power to become real. That’s why it’s important when you start any task, to begin with the correct energy to complete the task with ease.

Here’s another way of explaining this. The thoughts and feelings you have about an event, affect how that event will turn out. If you go into a situation with feelings of worry and stress and that you won’t succeed, that is probably the outcome you’ll get. Whereas, if you approach that same situation feeling confident, positive, and self-assured with a clear picture of the result that you require then you’re more likely to achieve that result.

Start Experimenting

I realised this for myself when I started experimenting with my own energy. If I felt negative about a job I needed to do before I started it and worried that I couldn’t do it, I found that problems started to show up. The job would take a long time to complete, it would be difficult, and I wouldn’t enjoy myself at all.

But when I went into the same situation thinking how easy it would be and that I was open to the quickest and most effortless resolution. Lo and behold, that’s exactly what I got. I was finished in no time at all. There were no complications and I got satisfaction from a job well done.

Once I realised the link between my energy and goals, I started applying this tactic to all areas of my life. Whenever I do anything now, I think to myself “this is going to be so easy, I’m really enjoying myself”.

This small tweak to how I approach my life has been transformative. Even with issues that I have no idea how to fix, when I open myself to the possibility that it can be fixed, that I have the power to do so and it can be easy, that’s exactly what happens. I’m constantly amazed by this, but it really works.

Signs You’re In Energetic Alignment

So, how do you know when your energy and goals are in alignment?

  • The biggest sign is that things feel easy to you.
  • You feel confident that you can succeed even when you don’t know how to.
  • You know you can figure things out.
  • You see all tasks as an opportunity to learn.
  • You feel good and you’re happy, even when you’re up against it.
  • You feel supported and trust that things will work out for you.

What To Do When Things Aren’t Going Your Way

What should you do when things aren’t going your way? We all have busy lives and things don’t always go to plan. It’s not always possible to feel positive and high vibe all the time. When things go wrong, which they often do. Take time to remind yourself that you can change your mindset to a more positive view any time you choose.

It’s a constant job to keep our thoughts positive and our energy aligned. Here are a few ways you can shift back into alignment when life gets in the way.

Focus On The Present

Notice your surroundings. Where are you? Why are you there? Appreciate the possibilities that place presents you with.

Be Grateful

Thank the universe for everything you already have and for all the things that are yet to come. This will instantly give your energy a boost.

Take Care Of Yourself

By looking after your body, you’ll be well equipped to achieve all you want in life. Self-care is important, make sure you take time for yourself. Get enough sleep and do exercise that you enjoy.

When you take the time to align your energy and goals with your values, your life will be much easier. You’ll have less resistance, and you’ll achieve much more than you ever thought possible.
