Make Self Care A Habit

Self care is so important but most of us don’t make it a priority. There are lots of ways we can turn things we do every day into little moments of self care.

When we’re on our daily commute we can use this time more effectively by switching off the radio and instead listening to a personal development podcast or an audiobook by our favourite self improvement author.

If you take public transport, instead of looking at the pavement on your walk to the bus stop or train station, look around you and become aware of your environment. Observe the wonders of nature where you live and breathe in the fresh autumn air.

If you sit at a desk all day, go for a walk at lunchtime. This will have a big impact on your mood and your productivity.

Make a gratitude list before bed each night. Write down five things you are grateful for that day.

Spend time by yourself, you don’t even have to do anything. Just being on your own in silence can be wonderfully calming for your soul.

Learn to meditate, even if you only manage five minutes per day you’ll notice how much better you feel.

There are lots of ways we can incorporate self care into our busy lives with simple changes to habits we already have.
